One of the guiding values of the Bay Area Yarn Crawl is, “Local First.” We give priority to local vendors, to both support small businesses in our community, and to minimize the environmental impact of shipping long distances. Get to know the folks who make your merch!

Bags

Mini Tote

An absolute classic, sized for every-day use (13" x 11" x 6") with extra long, 25” handles to easily slip onto your shoulder. Big enough to hold phone-wallet-keys, plus a water bottle and mid-sized project, but small enough that you won’t dislocate your shoulder from schlepping too much. Made of sturdy 15oz canvas, to stand up to your most demanding days.

Drawstring Project Bag

A perennial favorite! This lightweight, roomy drawstring bag has been Dawn’s best seller for years, for a good reason. Large enough to hold a sweater’s worth of yarn, but the bag itself doesn’t take up any space, so you can always carry an extra project. Or three.

New for 2026! Featuring Dawn’s illustration of Karl the Frog, these zip pouches are roomy enough to hold all of your craft notions, but slim enough to help keep your bigger bags organized. Works great with our mini totes!

della Q Oh Snap!

You LOVED the 2025 Octavia Oh Snap bags so much, they sold out in a blink! This year we’re offering two versions:

  • Karl on a sunny yellow mesh in the same size as last year (9” x 11 x 3), same teal trim to coordinate with Octavia, same snag-free snaps, and the same front zip pocket for patterns and notions. This bag fits neatly inside our (much larger) Oh Snap Square Sack.

  • Spring Green Oh Snap Square Sack, the biggest bag in the Oh Snap collection, measuring 11" x 11 x 5, is perfect for holding larger projects (up to 12 skeins!), and all your crafting essentials. The sack features custom woven top handles and wristlet in teal to match the 2025 Octavia Oh Snap. Notions

Karl Point Protectors

Corrie painstakingly adapted Dawn’s illustration to transform Karl into point protectors. Soft, slightly squishy and made of BPA-free, food-grade silicone, they work best with needles size US3-11. In addition to being simply adorable, point protectors keep your stitches secure and defended against the chaos of the universe. If only they worked for more than just knitting...

5-Piece Stitch Marker Set and OG Karl Individual Marker

Maria designed a set of five markers, pulling elements from Dawn Kathryn’s Karl the Frog illustration, made in four finishes (wood, gold, silver, and rose gold) and sold in sets. She also designed a commemorative single marker, featuring the OG Karl, available in the same four finishes.

Forge Cuts

Georgette worked with individual shops to create unique markers in the color and material of the shop’s choosing. Ranging from neutrals to neons, and made in both wood and acrylic, each marker has the shop’s name and “2026 BAYCrawl” engraved on the front.

HapBee
2-Piece Karl Stitch Marker Set

Tracy was so smitten by Dawn’s illustration of Karl, that she designed a two marker set to celebrate! Fitted with a snag-free hinged clasp, these markers work equally well as progress keepers for both knit and crochet. HapBee stitch makers are lightweight and crafted with care so they won’t tug or pull at your precious yarn.

Karl Individual Wooden Stitch Marker

East Bay illustrator Jo Studio put her own spin on Karl with these adorable teardrop markers. The wood material evokes Karl’s favorite knitting perch, and his sweet face is cheering you on as you craft.
